The Journey Begins

A few months ago, I married my absolute best friend...the day was filled with many beautiful, enchanting and memorable moments which I will get to in time.

My question, however, is - what next? Society tells us 'First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby'. But what about the women who are not yet sure? Who need time, who want to pursue their career right here and right now, why do women feel that they need to choose one or the other and do men ever feel that way?

I decided to write this blog for my fellow humans who are...well wherever they are. This blog is dedicated to you. Hopefully it is not just me out here...stuck wondering, pondering and contemplating - what next? This blog will be filled with memories of single escapades, heartbreak, travel, food, clothes and shoes, meeting my husband, secrets and tips, the journey to get to where we are today and where I am today, and my daily life...as the 'wife' part of husband and wife.

How can I describe myself? Well my Instagram Bio reads: Wife & lover. Believer in education. Happy adventurer. Novice foodie. Passionate about animals. I have a slight shopping addiction (with applicable emoji's inserted in between). But I am many more good and bad things in between. I'm that awkward girl who never knows whether to commit to the handshake or hug, I am obsessed with cooking shows but show no real cooking talent (besides baking), I collect quotes that speak to places in me that only exist in other worlds, I love Summer and feeling the warm sun on my skin, I am an all or nothing kind of person, I'm all in or I'm all out... but I am sure we will come to know one another in time.

I decided to start this blog now to help answer my own questions. Why not when I was engaged and going through the wedding planning process? That I cannot tell you...maybe I want this to mean a little more to me, maybe I didn't have these questions back then. I recently turned the dirty thirty and hey, don't they say that life begins at thirty anyway?
